Weight gain.

I’ve been on 20 mg for 2 months now. I’ve gained nearly 30 lbs and I’m still gaining. It’s awful. Has anyone else experienced any major weight gain or is it just me? My diet hasn’t changed and I eat decently.

    hi.. i am sofar loosing weight..  but i am sure when them meds kick in i might be able to eat..  are you eating.. i can;t eat. but i do eat when i have too.  how are your side affects except the weight gain.  i would like to ask you a few more questions if its alright.  let me know.. thanks

      When I first started the meds I was so sick. I was constantly feeling like I was going to get sick. I was dizzy. I switched to talking them at night and it got so much better. My initial side effects were bad anxiety at random. After 2 weeks I was fine. Now I just keep gaining. I was on Zoloft before and let me tell you. That was the worst month of my life. I was sick daily and couldn’t eat a bite or even drink water. You should gain an appetite again. Bodies just take so long to adjust. I’ll answer any questions you may have if I can!

      i am new to this .. so please bare with me.. i would like to talk to someone about lexapro.. is that what you are on?

      i am not gaining weight .. i lost too much..  my nerves are shot.. and i feel sick most of the time.. but the doctor said that will pass..  what do u think ?

      i am sorry  .. i didn;t read that right..  yes i do need as much help to get thru this med switch.. i am now on lexapro 10mg and the doctor told me to go to 15mg ..  cause i am still suffering with anxiety in the morning . and feeling so nausaus .   i am also on xanax as needed..  well i don;t want to take that all the time so i try not to take it til later in the morning.  i do make myself eat. force it down.   i take it in the morning because i don;t want to take it with my xanax at night.. i take them to sleep. i would like to chat with u about it.  thank you

    Sarah... Yes I've been on Lexapro for 2 months ... Started on 2.5 and have worked my way up to 10mg. With that said Yes I've gained about 10 lbs. but I had lost quiet a bit of weight so I'm doing ok but I don't want to continue putting lbs. on that's just another problem to deal with.. I'm sure we will level out after a while...
