I lost weight. I have a low fat diet, lots of fruit and veg, fish and Quorn. I like a bit of chocolate now and again. I eat from a dish so not as much food on the plate.

Greeting Debz, I'm 59 yrs young, & had my gall bladder removal surgery aprox. 3 yrs ago. Weight gain is a real challenge yet it is doable. I've bern taking apple cider vinegar tablets because I can not drink the mother load vinegar drink that is all the rage. My husband drinks it daily & has lost weight easily. The major thing with loosing weight especially as we age & our metabolism is much slower than when we were youthful, is lessening your portions, & ridding soda pop, junk foods & desserts from your diet. Exercise is essential also, even if it's only a walk for 20 minutes 4-5 days a week, stretching will help your body in multiple ways as well. Denying oneself of all treats is a set up for failure, yet allowing a smaller portion of treats once a week or here & there no more than once a week is what keeps me on track without denying myself the foods I love, yet can not eat regularly. I take organic apple cider vinegar tablets, drink lots of spring water to flush the system, & to keep the necessary fluid intake for overall good health, & eat 4-5 small balanced meals rather than 3 regular sized meals per day. The constant drip of acid in your stomach from the removal of your gall bladder needs a regular intake of fruits, fibrous veggies, proteins/lean meats, lentils & plenty of fluids water/low sugar juices/ caf. free green tea. Also, avoid greasy & spicy foods & dairy products as much as possible, as you will see these create problems when your body has no gall bladder. I take a suppliment call "digestive helper" from a Company called: Wellness Resources. I take right before meals & especially when I want to eat the undesirable foods mentioned above that cause problems, & I then have no problems as many people do who don't have a gall bladder any longer. All suppliments are not created equal and you can find this out for yourself by experimenting with them, or utilize my many years of personal research & experimentation and get a catalog from the company I mentioned above and learn what I have, of how & why their suppliments are actually absorbed into the body where the body utilizes them properly, instead of them being discarded without absorption in our systems waste. Good luck & best wishes in your weightloss & health goals. I hope something I've shared here with you helps, I know it has surely helped me immensely.
