weight gain around the middle

Posted , 7 users are following.

I have put so much weight on around my middle and have cut down on what I eat but nothing seems to shift it. I walk a lot every day but still nothing happens. I'm thinking of joining a slimming class but someone has told me that they won't work to shift the weight as it is Hormonal. Any advice would be great. Thank you.

I gain weight in my stomach too. Last year when I restricted my diet I lost the tummy, but as soon as I started eating again it came back. Sometimes gluten will bloat your stomach too.

I cut out sugar, dairy, red meat, gluten, alcohol, caffeine, fried food, just water to drink. It’s just no fun!

I guess I’d rather have a tummy than be starving all the time!

It seems as though you have to cut out everything you like to lose the tummy. I think i'm with you rather have the tummy than starve and be unhappy.

Hi Anne, I’m a personal trainer and yes, sometimes as we age it does all accumulate around the middle and you try to cut back and lose wt in other places. Have your tried weight training? Building muscle increases  your metabolism which you might need.

Continue to eat healthy, small meals more often, minimal CARBS and lots of water. Good luck! Be well!

Cutting out all wheat is really the biggest thing that helps me.  Not just gluten

I'm with you.... I tried to restrict anything with grain in it (the Undoctered book )

Around 50-60 carbs a day and watch sugar in take...
