Weight gain on clonazepam .?

hi

have been started on Clonazepam and have gained almost half a stone in a month anyone else had this ?

    Hi Tezes,

    I started on Clonazepam years ago, you may put a few pounds on intially, but that will calm down. If I remember rightly I put a few pound on, but after a few months it just stayed the same. Obviously, if you change your diet at all you will see a larger difference. Some people have a lack of appetite initally, others have diarrhea. I assume it is down to each others body, we are all different.

    You did say previously you were on a small dosage to begin with didn't you?

      Yes that's what bothers me I'm still only on 0.5 at night but Neuro wants it increasing but gp still waiting for consultants letter from my app on 4 th August. I haven't changed my diet so hoping it will level off or better still I can lose the weight.

    I did but then it settled down and I was able to lose it again with little effort
