Weight gain with PCOS

Posted , 3 users are following.

I have PCOS and have been struggling with weight gain for over 3 years now. I am extremely active (gym 5 days a week) and eat extremely well (track everything). I have tried 1200 cals and also higher as I am aware that is very low for my height and activity level. Ive tried personal trainers, nutritionals etc and noone can help me lose weight. Also tried metformin. It is now getting to the point I cant even maintain my weight. Please help... this is ruining my self confidence!!

Have you asked your GP if there is any medication out there to help? Also it could be something to do with your thyroid as well

Have you tried the PCOS diet? There are lots of books out there about how to control insulin levels with avoiding certain foods and eating more of others, might be worth a shot!
