    Hi there

I have the opposite problem to you, so I suppose I know well what puts on weight. the trick is to put on "good" weight.

So what I would suggest is:

    1. Eat something about every 2 hours while you are awake.

    2. Don't try to eat huge amounts, just a good healthy snack. Such as a glass of full fat milk with a banana, or a piece of wholemeal bread and butter. Don't feel you have to add lots of refined carbs like sugar and white flour. The best bet is whole grain bread or crackers with full fat butter or spread or Philly cream cheese.

    3. Eat at least two proper meals with good quality protein (fish, meat, soya) and plenty of vegetables. These may need to be small because of the snacks you are also eating, but get yourself in the habit of sitting down to a proper meal twice a day.

    4. Have a glass of milk and a snack just before you go to bed (and clean your teeth afterwards!!!)

    5. Take plenty of exercise. Muscles weigh heavier than fat and help a thin body to look really good.

    6. Stop weighing yourself too often and if clothes start to feel tight, just wear something looser.

    Hope this helps.

    Good luck

      Hi

If you can get out and about, then fresh air is the absolute best. It will also give you an appetite for regular snacking on healthy food. So try to get out for 30 minutes of brisk walking or cycling every day.

If you can't get out, then walking or running up and down stairs is terrific. Do it until you get warm and slightly out of breath. But if not that, then just do manic free-form dancing to music you love in your sitting room. You can do that whilst standing, or sitting - really go for it with your arms and upper body, or lying down and waving arms and legs in the air in time to music. You'll feel daft, but it is good fun to just let yourself go and react to music.

You could also try singing and making any sort of noise - really loudly. It gets the blood and lungs working well - I sometimes do that in the car whilst on my own. Singing in a choir is also good for getting breathing up and your stomach muscles working.

If you have a cat or dog you'll notice that they just let themselves go at times, in order to get exercise - that's what to aim for.

If you decide to make your own bread, then ten minutes of really energetic kneading of the dough is also very good. If you are dusting, polishing or vacuuming at home, do it hard enough to get warm (sweaty even) and out of breath. Everything at home should be done at a good brisk pace - that way you build your exercise into everything you do every day.

      Go for it!

Hi there, lucky girl.  I would suggest plenty of dairy products, potatoes and bread.  Red meat more than white, fatty fish (they are my favourite, like salmon, sardines, herrings, etc) and plenty of fruit.  The occasional slice of cake would help, or scones with cream and strawberry jam.  I am now feeling famished so will love and leave you.  Good luck!

MoonMoon. You appear to have posted in the wrong place  as this is not about gaining or losing weight.

Not an Ls problem but I wanted to add that if you want to increase your weight you should try to do it healthily and not just eat lots of unhealthy foods.  I believe that when fighters want to increase their weight they bulk up on  protein shakes and pasta type foods.  The other point is that as muscle weighs more than fat you should maybe try to increase your muscle ratio by doing some weight bearing exercises.  Eating frequently to counter act the weight loss from exercise.  I know someone with the same problem and he just adds protein whey powder to his food.  Good luck
