weight loss

Hi. As some of you know I'm planning on having a band next year (cant afford it right now) and I'm wondering if you don't think I'm being too cheeky asking when did you have your band fitted and how much weight loss you've had - obviously I understand everyone is different but just to get an idea? Thanks

I did loads of research. Then i heard about Ramsays Weight Loss Services. A private group of hospitals around the country.

I paid £4995 and have 3 years aftercare. All packages are different. Totally recommend them!

I have just had a little look on their website. Had never heard of them before. Will put them on the list to research further. Also they are just up the road for me which is also a factor to consider. Hope all is going well.

The consultation is free too if you just want to get s bit more info. Yes do your research. I would say avoid any that say you go home the same day!

Ive lost 2 stone so far. My first band fill isnt for 2 weeks yet.

      Good luck !

Hi Margaret. Hope you don't mind me asking, but have you lost 2 stone in 5 weeks? I had mine done just over 4 weeks ago and have only lost a stone.

Hi, I went with Healthier Weight and had op at the end of January, so even earlier days for me!! I've lost just over 1 and a half stones but that is more to do with the pre op and post op diet. My hunger has returned and I think this is normal until the first couple of band fills. At the moment I'm using the my fitness pal app on my phone which a friend recommended and trying to keep to 1300 or less calories a day until my first fill Which is in 4 weeks. smile x

Hi. I had mine done on 20th January, and my 1st band fill isn't until late March. I am finding that I can eat normal things at the minute, which I didn't think I'd be able to.I thought I'd still only manage pureed foods. Are you the same?

I had my band fitted end of October last year and I've nearly lost 4 stone.

Had my first fill 4 weeks after op and every 4 weeks since, seem to be losing approx half a stone in between fills which is what they expect, lost 9 pounds since last fill!

I went with streamline surgical x

That's a really good loss. Well done. How are you finding it? I just wish I had the money to go for it now while cause I'm so ready to get started but cant really afford to take on any new payments till next year.
