    Hi Kaz,

Yes, I just can't put on any weight. It's not as if I'm over skinny, but I really don't want to loose any and try to eat plenty and regularly. I think my depression doesn't help though.

YES!!  grrrr   I had issues after my MVA with wieght gain, (MTBI).  But now it's all over the place.  One minute I'm almost down to 60kgs (Normally good at 56 - 58kgs)  Came up here and was 62kgs then after 2wks began to balloon and it's not for overeating or indulging sweets either!   I did actually swell up firstly grrrr   not nice.  I am still feeling heavy and do puff up especially more noticeable in my legs, my FEET and Ankles grrrrr   My hands and arms were what always paifully swelled and still do if I over do things repetitively.  However I better manage now by saying NO to doing things.  I have learnt to let go doing most things that cause that severe reaction, however I still daily have pain and feel like my hands are bloated.  My feet and ankles are really getting bad now but I guess because I'm having to be up and down 4 steps from the lounge to dining area, another 3 steps up and down in the hallway, and 6 steps U and D from the front door.  (yes it's multilevel here, my own tiny postage stamp place has only 3 steps U and D from ground up onto the deck!)  So I guess the extra workout of a day here is what triggers this????

And I loathe just sitting round, but there are days I haven't much choice or I'm in a worse state!!  So I put the laptop in easy reach so I can rest my palms on it to type away till it's to painful and rest. Yes I take breaks and rest my hands and fingers but there is no escaping the physical reactions 'aye!'...  You know what I mean.

I know just how you feel Deb......you are damned if you do anything to keep active and damned if you don't be as active.  Fibro is not being fair to us, but we have to be positive and fight this by staying stress free and pacing our daily lifestyle and hopefully all will balance out eventually.

Gentle hugs and hope you enjoy your Sunday wink xx

morning deb97936 My ankes feet legs are constantly swollen have been for a while now, since being diagnosed as diabetic. I live mainly on salads a part from sundays when I have aroast dinner so cant understand why my weight is up down I try to eat healthly.. I love my roast dinner, sunday isnt sunday for me with out the roast dinner. your getting plenty of exercise with the ammount of steps you have to go up down in your home blimey I bet that tireing. My toilet is up stairs I cant keep going up down as my mobility isnt good at all. so I have a commode downstairs to use. I would love a stair lift when Im able to afford one. Im like you I hate just sitting it drives me mad. But last week I over did things and ended up paying the price for it. I also hurt my back just by trying to hoover, arnt sure if Ive slipped a disc. I am finding it harder to type as fingers and hands hurt a lot. so I have to keep having breaks when on laptop. Oh the joy of fibro not. onwards upwards we go battle on. take care gentle hug

Hi kaz, wow I am sorry to hear you have diabeties, cannot be easy.  I had a friend who's daughter who became diabetic through pregnancy.  We had a very very good doctor called Peter who specialised in Naturapathy.  With him working along side her doctor, the Naturapath Peter was dealing with her diet and she had to take these very minute little white tablets of a day and over a matter of just a few weeks he got her insulin injections way way down to almost zilch.  Huge results!  So now it's controlled with diet.  She was never a big girl and now in fact she is very tiny.  She is also looking very good.

So I guess she is really looking after herself with her diet.

I've had all my bloods and sugars tests done to more than once recently.  Nope no diabeties, thankfully.

I managed to take the girls and boy out for walkies this evening, was nice and it's such a lovely evening.   I'm sore, and will pay for it by later tonight.. Oh well, never mind..  dogs need their walks.

      Take care...hugs

Hi Deb97936 I use to love taking my dog for long walks by the canal, we use to walk for miles. But Im no longer able to do that which is heartbreaking for me, but he gets plenty of nice walks with my husband. I take metformin for my diabetes, I do try eating as healthy as I can, as I would sooner control my diabetes with diet rather than tablets. Thats good that their is no sign of you having diabetes pleased your blood test came back fine.Thats excellent that your friend has had help with 2 drs to sort her diabetes out, shes doing wonderful to just be doing it by diet now. take care gentle hugs
