Weightloss/ no appetite

Hi everyone. I noticed i have lost weight which i think is due to loss of appetite. I always heard menopause causes weight gain for many particularly in mid section. When i googled weight loss and loss of appetite for menopause it stated the opposite. Has anyone experienced weight loss due to loss of apetite and nausea? If so has this been discussed with your dr?

I'm going through the same thing, been experiencing this since 2017 but have managed to maintained up until recently. I started being very nausea and food allergies where it was so difficult to eat. I just had an appt with my GI Dr yesterday and as soon as she saw I lost weight she goes OMG! you 've lost weight. and then says im sending you for a CT scan. I tried telling her about peri but she looks at me crazy. I've had a CT when the issue first started but like I mentioned I've maintained until now. But I'm also having alot of digestion issues too. I have an overgrowth of bacteria that she's trying to treat. which I'm thinking I contributing to my gut issues. then not to mention anxiety like crazy.

I have had nausea and other issues for 2 years than dropped 20lbs in a month ,had CT scan and endoscopy all came back normal. I thought I had cancer or something but think it was my anxiety. The last 6 months I have been better but recently think my symptoms are returning. I have had bronchitis this last week and it has been bringing back all the bad thoughts from before. I did put my weight back on but think I am going back down that road again. I am 49 and only have a cycle every 6 months. It is like a roller coaster ride and I cant get off. I think things will never be normal again. Only can say to take one day at a time and try to get through the bad days as best you can.
