Weird amplified vibration sounds in my right ear seeking advice!!

Posted , 3 users are following.

Hello,

This is my first time one the forum, so I want to thank everyone in advance for their advice.

It is pretty hard to explain, but last November while I was in a pretty stressful time at college, I noticed that my right ear would vibrate sometime to the external sounds around me. This almost felt as if the sound waves were being amplified in my right ear. I concluded that it was not something like tinnitus because it seemed to only react to external sounds. If I wore earplugs or covered my ears, the vibration would go away. Further I could hear my tinnitus along side these vibrations in my right ear.

Anyway fast forward until now, I am feeling pretty helpless and anxious as I do not know the problem. I am hoping that this is not forever as that would suck. I have been to a ENT who has conducted a hearing and a vestibular test, which all came normal. He mentioned that he could not help me further and that I should consult a neurologist.

Let me know your thoughts on this and I will be actively clarifying any questions!

Thanks again! 😃
