Weird bubbles on finger

I recently got these weird bubbles on my finger. I'm worried because my mother had the same bubbles 15 years ago. They spread from her finger over the whole hand. Then disappeared but her hands stayed scaly and cracked since then. Her hands are super sensitive to cheese and all sorts of thing.
No doctor could ever tell her what she has and now I'm afraid I will get it.

Its called Pompholyx and is a sort of eczema. Can be caused by something which is irritating to your skin like nickel from jewellery or detergents or any sort of chemical including food/cheese that you handle frequently. Sometimes the blisters can get infected and sometimes it seems that a fungal infection may be involved. It can be very puzzling to treat, as some people get it frequently and others may just get it once and never again.
Steroid cream is often used first to get the problem to calm down then daily use of hand cream can help.
Your mum should try to use latex gloves when handling anything that she knows will irritate her hands.
You can also soak the affected hands in a weak solution of potassium permanganate. That seems to help some people. Potassium permanganate does tend to make the skin brown but it is not permanent.....no need to scrub it off. Keep a special old clean towel for drying the skin after using potassium permanganate as it will stain.
