Weird change in single fingernails appearance for months. Not getting better

Posted , 3 users are following.

Hi,

I don't know what happened or exactly when it started, but the fingernails on just one of my fingernails looks very off. It has never happened before, but it's been like this for a while now. It almost looks like it's a bit lifted. The nail looks damaged underneath and while it's hard to see, it looks like there may be a layer between the skin and the nail.

Any idea what it could be?

Thanks!

Its a fungal infection. Cut the nail as short, cutting off as much of the nail as possible. You need to start treating the nail with one of the fungal nail treatments that are readily available in chemists/pharmacies. dont use the cheapest...go for one of the more expensive ones and use exactly as they say. Nail fungus can take a very long time to get rid of, and it can spread to other nails, so its essential to start treatment ASAP. You must use the treatment every day and you may need to use several different treatments before you see any difference.
