D, it is likely that you have a combination of things that have not only created what you see, but are also keeping your penile skin on the head of your penis from recovering to the way it was when you were born.

You are circumcised, so this is a major problem in achieving healthy skin on the head of the penis as the natural lubricant and source of hydration has been lost due to circumcision.

If I knew a few details about you that would help: do you live in a country with a hot dry or hot damp climate? Are you a sportingly active person, do regular gym workouts or regularly train for some form of physical activity? What I am getting at are circumstances that would create a situation where moisture is regularly present on your penis: so this could even be you wear clothing that means you are warm to hot much of the time and as a result there is sweat in your groin region much of the time?

Work environments can also cause this, such as being in a warm office during the day, or perhaps you lift and carry things that again mean you are sweating much of the time during the day ...... ?

I dont know if southern usa is considered hot and dry climate, but if so, there's my problem. I am not a super active person but I do occasionally sweat in the groin area. So is sweat on my groin is causing the spots and not letting it recover? is there anything I could do to help it recover?

So, what I am looking for, are explanations for what is happening. Logically, you would look at the most likely things that could be happening first.

So, the regular presence of moisture can be a problem for skin. If you are not particularly active then look towards the clothing you regularly wear such as heavy, rather than light underwear - people who do regular outdoor activity know about controlling sweat, as it can cause quite bad skin problems. So light weight clothing that keeps the body at the right temperature and controls sweat is the best.

As I initially said, there could well be a combination of factors going on - so for example, on the head of your penis the brown marking seems to be located where you have a collection of very small spots - the spots themselves are most likely Fordyce Spots or Pearly Penile Papules that are naturally present - so there is nothing you can do to change them. And the other problematical is that you are circumcised and the natural hydration that the head and skin on the upper-shaft of your penis has been lost.

It is looking for things that you can control or change that will help you with the marking you have.

Do you feel determined enough to have this sorted once and for all? As, perhaps if you could see a Dermatologist you may get some useful professional guidance on what else you can do for this. Do you have the Medical Cover to see health professionals such as this ..... ?

I typically wear heavy clothes no matter the weather so my body is hot most of the time, but i dont usually sweat that much. The spots on my penis are just discolored areas and not like bumps or anything like fordyce spots or pearly penile papules. I do not know if I have a medical cover for dermatologists and such. I just want to believe that it isn't a disease or something. I may be able to get it checked out if that would get me to a conclusion.

Kim may have a possible explanation on this one. We are in the UK and are not familiar with the US health care system - I wonder whether there are any free Walk-In Sexual health facilities in major towns and cities that you could go to and get a professional opinion on this. Large services like this often have different specialists as part of a team and you may be able to see a Dermatologist on the day, or you could ring such a service to check .....

I think I have the same problem I notice this for the past 3 weeks, but I don't have any sex experience yet, yes I exercised a lot lately and sometime I forgot to wash my penis and I'm from country with hot/ warm climate. Also it started when I used whitening soap, I always overthink what's happening to my penis and it affects my mental health. Please tell me its not a sign of any disease. I don't think its STD because like I said earlier I don't have any sex experience. And I also notice my penis when erected there are some red small bumps. Do you think its because of irritation?

hello, i have been sexually active recently. i noticed this small whitish hard lump in my penis shaft. tried to research online and it could be Fordyce or Lymphocele. i am a lil worried. i tried to pop it out of curiosity as I feel insecure. but it didnt work, it only left a scar and turned reddish and the bump is still there. this makes me stressful and ashamed. please help me on what to do. i am new in the USA and I dont know what to do... thanks

I had this happen to me years ago. Doctor told me that they couldn't remove it because it would be considered cosmetic surgery. Its just a fatty build up under your skin, it happens sometimes. Feels hard doesn't it? I ended up getting intoxicated and taking a razor blade to it myself, made a small incision and it popped right out. Its kind of like a large blackhead under the skin but since you don't have pores like your face it just stats under your skin until one day it decides to erupt and it could take years. Mines was there for like 2 years until I finally decided to remove it myself since doctors refused. They told me to soak in warm water to soften my skin and a bunch if stuff that didn't help and gave me no results. Your fine even though it does cause worry its just a fatty build up that decided to show itself in an awkward place. Since the skin there is different it doesnt allow it to erupt easily and if you do decide to remove it yourself it will leave minor scarring. Its not cancer though.
