Weird feeling when falling asleep...

so everynight when i lay down i get this bizarre feeling in my chest. almost as if i heart stops for a second as i dose off it feels like a nervous feeling but idk what it is! its almost like the butterflies... does this happen to anyone else?

yes, that is very common with people. Especially if you already have anxiety. Adrenaline can cause that to happen. Listen to some soothing meditations on YouTube for anxiety. I do this every night when laying down to sleep. There are hundreds of them and they take your mind off of what is worrying you. Listen to some great breathing meditation is also important because proper breathing is the key to relaxing the mind and body.
I always suggest that everybody should have a complete physical check up with their doctor at least once a year for peace of mind. Take care

I have definitely had this happen when my anxiety was at its peak. like right as I'm falling asleep I get jolted awake by the feeling you described. I put on some soft background noise to focus on rather than my mind racing.

I get a weird feeling when falling asleep, the only way I can describe it is.. "" I feel big "" 😀 I've asked other people,if they ever feel " Big " they just give me a dodgey look,,except my brother,he knew what I ment 😄
