Weird head and eyes

Hi everyone,

I am not sure this has to do with peri or hormones but wanted to see if someone finds this familiar. I have suffered now for the second time- for over a week and it is still going this time! I get this weird, lightheaded, almost drunk feeling ( I don't drink). My eyes are super tired and although I see I am having trouble focusing and have to frequently close my eyes and refocus. I have light sensitivity and not sure I see correctly. Sometimes I have a feeling of dissociation, it is hard to concentrate too. This is all day long, even after 8 hours of sleep. I feel my heart beat in my neck and head. Yesterday I wanted to cry because I cannot stand this anymore! Any thoughts and ideas will be appreciated.

hi there - I'm new here but I wanted to let you know that I am feeling similar to you. having really weird head sensations/woozy/pressure in my ears. i also get a popping feeling in my ears and head and weirdly behind my eyes and i have to close them.

i'm also having awful palpitations and a high fast rate all the time.

i also constantly feel disasociated all the time and can't even concentrate on a tv programme.

are you taking any medication? vitamins? HRT?

thank you so much for responding. I am so sorry you feel that way, it is an awful hard way to function! I take levothyroxine everyday but that is it. I have been on it for over a decade too. I don't take anything:(

I had this same feeling in Feb of 2020 and it lasted for months. I so hoped I will never have to deal with it again, but here I am. How long have you struggled with that?

    Hello,

Yes, I have this as well. For me it seems worse during the week before my period is due. I feel light headed, dizzy, and nauseous. There are days when I definitely have trouble concentrating on anything. The heart palpitations and the ringing in the ears come and go. It's all a very discomforting.

Magnesium can help with the heart palpitations. I also take multivitamins every day and melatonin to help me sleep.

I wish you all the best. Hang in there! It can only get better. 😃

i totally get what your describing as i feel that too. in the past iv been to the opticians twice in one year convinced my glasses are not right and i only wear them for reading. i feel my eyes are being twisted out my head sometimes and like you say feel im not seeing properly, lightheaded and so sensitive to light, smells and anything loud. i have the pulsating in my head too, it has all been put down to chronic migraine.

I too have the ear thing like bombodie and cant concentrate even on a tv programme or anything, its very strange and unnerving, im not able to take HRT so been battling this for maybe 6 years.

me too with the disasociated thing, so weird . sending you both comforting hugs x

I am so sorry you are also struggling with this. Sometimes I feel like I am going crazy and also slowly dying- which obviously is true either way! I wish I knew how to fix that:(((

You are not alone. Along with 12547885 other symptoms at the moment, the weird head- feeling disconnected is horrible. I also have the ear issues - mainly in right ear, ringing so loud sometimes it drives me nuts

I am 48, went 5 months without a period and then started again although all over the place.

Been down to the hospital with racing heart issues - ecg done heart/lung xrays done, wore heart monitor for a day .. all clear

Blood tests every month for 4 months - again all clear.

    Its so frustrating

My eyes are constantly tired and i have little floaty things that drive me nuts , if that makes any sense.

I have just started HRT 4 weeks ago, and Dr said it will take a few months to see any improvement, however i must say i have noticed the tension in neck/back although not gone, has greatly improved.

I am hoping it also helps with the tinnitus. I saw a post on here that someone had tried ear drops which had helped so i plan on doing that this week.

Will keep you posted if i notice any other improvements on the HRT.

When i start to feel like i am going crazy or a i feel the anxiety levels start to rise, i find it quite comforting reading through the forums and realising i am not alone, and it is most likely hormone related

I have learnt to stay away from google as it always leads to some drastic diagnosis.

    Wishing you some relief!!!!!

Hey! I have 100% had all of this! The vision stuff was early on in my journey. I'm 43 now and it seems to be getting some better. My concentration is rough too. What do you mean by dissociation? I'm pretty sure I've had that too. How old are you if you don't mind me asking?
