I am still struggling with daily dizziness o ff balance which i have had for months now. I am post meno 5 years and have had most of the 66 meno symptoms but this constant dizziness has got me so stressed I get disorientated but also while i'm sitting still I get a wave of dizziness almost like the feeling you might get in an elevator or when a plane is taking off. Hard to describe I sound crazy I know. does anyone else get this I feel so alone. None of my friends or family have anything like this which makes me feel like it can't just be menopause and scares me to bits. Does this sound familiar to anyone.

hi! You are describing me, most days. Sometimes have to grip a wall, often question whether or not i should be driving, feel almost drunk a lot. It's a terrible feeling. Have been to doc- seems to be hormones. Have numerous other symptoms too. You're not alone!!

Me!! I'm 48, still having periods, and have this most every day, I know exactly the elevator/ airplane feeling when sitting. Almost feels like I'm walking on a cruise ship, I hate this. I have had more lab work done than I care to mention and all my results are normal. My gynecologist prescribed low dose Prozac for me to take for anxiety but I haven't started it yet. I try to keep myself going but some days I'm so fatigued. Sometimes I have to take my eyeglasses off just to try to feel better.

I see it has been a while since this is posted but just wanted to say that this is exactly how I feel. The feeling you get in a plane is exactly how I would describe it! 😦

i could of wrote your post as you describe exactly how i am. i too am 5 yrs post meno and the one horrendous symptom still with me is just how you've said, it makes me feel disorientated too and iv never read anyone else say that. My sister or female friends have sailed through menopause so i think they think im exaggerating with all these debilitating symptoms we go through, iv been like this for 8yrs. Im scared to drive too far or go in big shops.

i know we've been in lock down with the Covid going on but i feel iv been in it for so long that i don't feel any different.

Do you get little jolts sometimes as if your about to fall over ?

    take care x

Hi yes I do almost feels like sometimes things shift. sounds crazy I know. I also get very spaced out sometimes but I think that is more my anxiety than anything else. I try to not google as I end up convinced I have some kind of brain disorder which makes my anxiety worse but it is very hard to ignore as it is there all the time. Hope you feel better soon.

    Hello Ladies...

I've experienced dizziness off and on, for the past 4 years; so much so, I had to STOP what

I was doing and sit my tail down!

That being said, what we're ALL experiencing is hormonal Imbalance! It wreaks HAVOC on our lives, hands down!

Many of the COUNTLESS symptoms come and go, and some don't leave without a fight! You must fight to stay well! Some days will be better than others!

The best advice I can give ANY of you is this:

    1. Take GREAT care of yourselves.
    2. Drink plenty of room-temperature water.
    3. TRY not to let anyone or anything get on your nerves, or under your skin.
    4. If you're married, I BESEECH you, to please explain to your spouse, what you are going through.
    5. Exercise as much as you can.
    6. LIMIT your intake of sugar & salt.
    7. Take vitamins; especially D.
    8. Do some fun things YOU love to do.
    9. Take a 3-4 hour train trip to another state.
    10. Explain to your spouse, your hormones are out of whack, and SEX is thee furthest thing from your mind! (You just want to be well, period)
    11. Pray.
    12. Play some fast music and dance your heart out!
    13. Play some music you love and sing as if you're auditioning for The Voice.
    14. Stretch those muscles and stretch those muscles again & again.
    15. Eat well; incorporate MORE fruits and veggies in your daily diet regime.
    16. Surround yourself with upbeat, positive, kind, fun-to-be around people.
    17. Don't miss your doctor's appointments.
    18. Some days you're going to feel as if you can't walk, well... CRAWL then!
    19. Watch your FAVE programs; two of mine are: Black-ish and The Haves & The Have Nots.. . Come hell or high-water, I do NOT miss these shows!!
    20. Find a NEW hobby.
    21. JOURNAL your your menopausal experiences.

Ladies, the bottom line is this: MENOPAUSE is NO PUNK! It just doesn't go away quietly!

I have to be BRUTALLY honest: Many women have told me, we women take it to the grave!!

    Just remember: Don't neglect yourselves!

hi! have you had your ears checked? perhaps consider seeing an ENT specialist. you might consider getting your jaw joints checked as well, if you think you might be a grinder or clencher -- temporomandibular joint disorders can affect the ears and cause dizziness too.
