Weird lump in next to ribcage

So I just found this weird bump, in between my rib cage, but closer to the left, which is pretty weird, since it wasn't there before, and I don't remember doing anything that could cause this.

I am a smoker, and I'm afraid it could be something serious...

I can't upload the image because the file size is too big.

Any help would be appreciated! Thank you.

PS.: Really don't know what "group" this belongs to.

    sounds like a fatty tissue but if concerned see gp were more medically trained like doctors

    Are you feeling your sternum? people often discover this and thinks its something awful but its the centre part of your ribcage.Apologies if you have already discounted this.

      I don't think so, yesterday it looked like a bruise, but had a different feel.

      Now it's smaller and no longer has a different colour from the rest of my skin.
