Weird muscle twitches

Hey guys I have been having weird twitches in the side of my arm for about a week. I've been having multiple muscle twitches throughout my body for a long period of time now and the weirdest twitches I've experienced where in my temples. I have no idea why get these twitches but maybe it's anxiety because I have been known to have some pretty bad health anxiety but I feel like I have been getting better with that. I just don't want it to be something serious. Can someone please help me out and tell me how to know if it's something I should get checked out or not. I'll I can say is that I get random muscle twitches throughout the day but have been mostly experiencing them in my temples and in my arm. Please help! Thanks so much

Hi Nick,
How many tests have you had done on your central nervous system, if any, Nick?
This could be anxiety. If you're usually an anxious person it probably is.
But if you haven't been tested for anything I think you should see a doctor to rule out any medical cause for this,

Hi Nick. I can tell you firsthand that the twitches are anxiety related. My anxiety symptoms started in my 20s. I had the twitches all over including my eyelid, arms, legs, scalp, you name it. I was concerned it was something serious but all my test came out normal. I learned throughout the years that this is very common with anxiety and stress. Many athletes also get twitching because of how they use their muscles. Many people on this site have said they get the twitching because of anxiety.
so please try to relax. You already have health anxiety so this is a common thing to have .
if you need to have peace of mind, visit your doctor but don't be surprised if he or she does not find anything wrong. That's what happened to me.
what happens is when your brain is over anxious, all that pent-up energy has to go somewhere so it comes out as symptoms . Your brain is telling you something through the symptoms which is you have too much anxiety and stress. Have you heard of the saying "the straw that broke the camels back?"
that's what happened to me in my 20s after years of stress and anxiety I had about 15 symptoms all it once and I was terrified. !!
So what you have to do is calm down your mind and brain if you want to calm down the symptoms.
I listen to mindful meditation's on YouTube for anxiety. They completely calm down my mind, body and symptoms. There are many to choose from. You can pick anything like stress, anxiety, depression, sleep etc.
right now to react with anxiety when you get the twitching because it will only get worse. Your brain will think you're in trouble and it will send out adrenaline and get everything riled up again. When you get the twitching just think to yourself "this is OK. I can handle this. No big deal." That's the attitude you need to take. That way your brain will stay calm.
if you need help with anxiety, I suggest speaking with the counselor. They see this every day and can help.
do things you enjoy that make you relax
try not to take life too seriously like I did
don't forget to laugh and smile because life's too short to waste it an anxiety!
you'll be fine once you get the anxiety under a little more control.
😁??

Put your mind at rest make an appointment and see your GP, then try and move on.
Make a list of your problems, ask for a double appointment to give yourself time to discuss your concerns. It may be Anxiety.

The wonders of the Brain eh! Once you become aware of certain body sensations and you think they might be a symptom of something wrong, your brain automatically labels it as something to look out for and pay attention to. Muscle twitches are very common, anxiety increases muscle tone so that our muscles are ready for immediate action, that's why muscle pain, trembling, jumpiness and indeed twitching become more common and the trouble is that you start to notice every little one. Remember the muscles of your face and forehead express how we feel all the time, something we are rarely aware of normally, so its no surprise its most obvious there. It does sound like anxiety is making you much more aware of these feelings, but its always worthwhile to get this checked out by your Dr. if he/she thinks its nothing maybe it will help you to pay less attention to them.

we are all in a bad vicious cycle here... I dont think im in place of giving advices and assurances. But, i can tell you this, im already few months in this and still am. Some days better some worse. I got all the known symptoms on and off and since i lost quite a lot of weight in the battle, my muscles started to get smaller and getting tired faster. Google those symptoms and your in for horrible things... Im trying to use common sense that saying that all of this mass started when anxiety came into my life so after visiting the doctor making full blood checks that are clear im struggling with my brain that all of those things are due to anxiety/fear/stress. Again, its hard for me to calm you down as iam kinda in the same story as you... I hope we will get to cure the root of the issue and not just relive the symptoms. I do recommend you cycling with some good music in your ears. It will calm you down and plus reassure you that your body is in perfect condition.
All the best buddy,
