Weird neurological symptoms

Hi everyone
I am wondering if anyone experiences what I do with anxiety. I have a variety of symptoms but most of them seem neurological or nerve related. i get this itchy/tingly/hot/cold sensations all over my body. From my scalp to my feet. They are most intense in my legs. I also get a strange buzzing and some muscle twitches. I get tightness in the muscles as well. The tingling is very distressing. makes me feel like I am losing my mind.
Lately the resurgence of the symptoms has made my anxiety spike way up. I am having many panic attacks. The symptoms get worse during attacks, but even when I am calm they are always there. I have no idea whats going on. I just wonder how I can accept that this is anxiety? i need some encouragement I guess. Thanks for listening 😃

I can sympathise. I have had almost constant sensations in my lower legs for four months. It varies in intensity, from tingling and numbness (although I can still feel my legs when experiencing the latter), to a slight pain or tightness in my calves. It's only gone away for one day during that time. I've been to a number of doctors who have given different diagnoses, none of which are serious (a virus, B12 deficiency and anxiety). I, too, would be interested in knowing how I can accept it is anxiety.

first i always Recommend a complete physical check up for your peace of mind.
your symptoms are what i had in my 20s the buzzing, tingling, muscle twitching i had very often and related to stress and anxiety. at first I thought I had some terrible condition but my testing was normal. Then I realized how much anxiety I have over a very long time. After a while your body reacts with symptoms, usually neurological type, but when they are due to stress and anxiety they will not hurt you even though they can be scary.
what is causing anxiety in your life? School? Work? Relationships? Family?
something important is to relax your mind as much as possible because that always reduced my symptoms.
the more you worry about it, the worse they can get.
do things that relax you. Take a walk in nature, listen to some great mindfulness meditation’s for anxiety on YouTube, try not to take life too seriously. Speaking with a counselor can help you with any issues you are going through. Take care ❤

Just for reference I have had quite a few doctors and tests and nothing was found. many times I think that I might have fibromyalgia because its like my body is just extra sensitive to any kind of tiny pain. So as an example the tingling/nerve sensations will be worse in areas that would normally just be sore from working out. So if I did some squats and normally my quads would be sore, they will be sore/aching and lots of burning and tingling. Or if I would normally get some headaches before that time of the month, I will get a splitting headache with lots of pressure and tingling in my face. I don't know if this makes any sense. But it feels like my brain is in over-reaction mode and just keeps cranking up the volume on any sensation.
Again, its really hard for me to believe something like fibro even exists. Feels like there should be a betterl explanation

Hi Carrie! I posted a couple days ago with the same symptoms. The one that scares me the most is the muscle twitches. They are body wide & I get them daily. I have had 2 MRI's, an EMG, ultrasounds & bloodwork out the wazoo. All normal except that I do have very mild peripheral neuropathy which can cause the tingling. I too get the internal vibrations/buzzing, tingling, ringing in the ears, shaky arms/legs, occassional weakness & dizziness, and many more. My calves are very tight. I'm told it's all anxiety. I haven't started taking anxiety medication yet, but I'm praying that when I do, these symptoms go away. For now I take some comfort knowing that others with anxiety have the same symptoms.

I have considered many times going on medication but I feel like its not right for me. So at this time I am trying to go without. I would recommend maybe being careful with the drugs that are sedatives, like Xanax as many people find it extremely difficult to ever get off of. But you have to do what works for you!
One thing I would absolutely recommend is an app you can get for your phone called Curable. It is free and it is focused on the neuroscience of pain and the brain/pain connection. I just started it, but it seems promising. Its a comprehensive program. Its worth a try for sure. This experience is so awful, I just sincerely hope you find some relief. Sending some prayers your way.. 😃
