Weird night

Hi all,

I had my first panic attack and mono related symptoms about a year ago now. Since September I have improved greatly and live a pretty normal life again by now. Not sure if I have overdone myself a little but ive been having quite an unpleasant night. I went for a ski trip with my school for the day and had no issues throughout. did some snowboarding and i was tired after but nothing that worried me. when i got back home i took a shower and was pretty much ready to hit the pillow because i was feeling kind of exhausted and shaky. again, this didnt worry me because this is just what happens when i am tired. well i fell asleep and two hours later i woke up and my whole body was hot and i was a bit anxious because i had had a very strange nightmare. my heart was beating quite fast so i had to do some deep breathing for a while and now i am calmed down but still not feeling the best. i have also come down with a sore throat and cold this week which prevented me from getting good sleep. i would say my management of anxiety is much better now and its not nearly as bad as last year, but just kind of bummed this happened. hoping this isnt a relapse and just a one night freak occurence!

    HI,

I THINK THIS IS THE NATURE OF THE BEAST!

I think you have to take care of yourself as relapses can occur for about 2 years, hopefully no longer. I haven't had this horrible illness but my husband, daughter and granddaughter have and its effect can last a longtime!

    Hopefully it will settle again.

LOOK AFTER YOURSELF WELL. Take vitamins, and most important....REST!

    BE WELL SOON. xxxxoooo

    Hi Dominika,

I definitely hope so too that this has just been a bad night and that things will settle again - I believe that they will for sure. It might just be that you have a cold type thing on you if you have a sore throat and something, I found in the first couple of years especially after having mono that when I took a cold or sore throat or anything like that it hit me a bit harder than it would before, but generally it is often nothing to worry about.

It's understandable after what you've been through that you would feel anxious and worried as something like that brings the memories of the mono back to the fore - just remember take it easy and hoping that you are feeling much better today. You have made so much progress Dominika and have shown a lot of courage - be assured that is not going to be undone!
