Weird occasional episodes of intense fatigue.. I don't know what it is!

Hello!

This is my first post so I'm completely new here. I'm a 21 year old female.

For the past year, I've been having these incredibly odd "episodes" where I have absolutely NO energy. It gets to the point where everytime I walk around I feel faint, or even sitting down I occasionally feel like I might pass out.

This usually starts off with me feeling weak, tired, out of breath for a day or two.. then on the third day or so, I cannot remove myself from my bed. The weakness is intense, and I feel like fainting. I've never actually passed out, but I've been close to it. On the third day of feeling tired, I have an episode where I feel incredibly out of breath, fast heart rate, and I get sleepy.. This "attack" is always guaranteed when I'm feeling ill like this. It's like almost fainting but I never faint? But even after the "almost fainting" episode happens I continue to feel weak and drained for DAYS.

This all started after a minor concussion I got last year. I don't know if they're linked or not. There was no swelling of the brain or bleeding. They ruled out everything.. Brain MRI, CT, even heart related stuff like a two week holter, ECG's, echo... everything is normal.

This is incredibly frustrating as these symptoms are keeping me from living life. It's not even no energy that's the problem it's just feeling faint all the time. I don't know what to do, I don't know what this could be... After the week or two of me suffering, I'm COMPLETELY back to normal. It stresses me out because I never know when I'm going to have another one of these "episodes" and have to cancel the next week or two of whatever plans I had going on to rest and wait out these horrible symptoms.

Any tips, help or advice would be amazing. I'm truly lost and confused at this point.

Thank you!

Hi there. I know your pain, I have the same issue, mine started after a bad flu, I did many blood work, all was normal, then doctors told me that it's from depression.

I recently visited a doctor, he is so famous, he told me it's because of lack of serotonin in my brain, he gave me a herbal capsule and anti depressant pills, I'm doing better now.

This fatigue thing, is too bad and frustrating.

I would be happy to help you with my experience.

Please feel free to contact me.
