Weird Pains in joints and legs

Hey,
I have been searching information fro what might be wrong with me for a several years now. It seems to be getting worse and so Im trying now different forums to see if I could find something. Doctors generally have been no help.
So, I have constant 24/7 twitching in the soles of my feet, calves and recently now reaching up to my thighs (this was diagnosed a few years ago as "benign fasciculation syndrome"). Sometimes I feel like my legs are burning or crawling. I have joint pains most commonly in my ankles, knees, and lower back, but quite commonly also in my wrists and fingers. However, all joints periodically can become sore. The joint pain however is not what I imagine arthritis pain to be: the pain dosent restrict my movement almost ever. The pain occurs while Im sitting or laying down and moving my joints eases the pain. It can be hard to find a comfortable position and I constantly have to adjust because of pain in joints.
thanks for reading,
Kevin

Doesn't really sound much like PMR - it is mostly stiffness and pain in muscles and rarely joint pain. Sorry - or not sorry, you don't want this either!

Hi KevinBar
You should ask your doctor to refer you for some xrays on your joints and back. You may have degenerative discs in the lumber region of uour lower back which may be causing the problems with your kegs and feet because some discs may be compressing the nerves in your back connected to your legs and feet. I have the same problem in my back, legs, hands, wrists and neck and i have osteoarthritis....

Hi Kevin, we're not doctors here, so not very good at diagnosing. Sometimes GPs aren't either. I had a sudden onset of hip and shoulder pain, and PMR was suggested. Ibuprofen helped until I got a prescription for prednisone, which seems to be a miracle drug against inflammation. I went to a rheumatologist who was skeptical of the PMR diagnosis. As it later turned out, the stiff joints and painful muscles were the result of a reaction to atorvastatin, which I had taken to reduce cholesterol for many years without any problems. Whether that's instructive for you, I wish you the best!

Hey guys,
appreciate your replies. Oh, I might have posted in the wrong channel, sorry if thats so. Jus saw joint pain and thought this might fit here.
Ive been to the doctor today, and they basically jsut tell me that they cant do anything, and that if it gets bad, I should get some medication. However, Im holding out on meds for as long as possible.
Ive had a testicle removed since vrey long ago, and my newest hypothesis is that it might be low testosterone levels somehow messing with me.
