Weird sudden anxiety problems.

Hello everybody, I'm new here. My name is Jesse. I'm 20 and I live here in the States. I've been to two therapists and have been diagnosed with anxiety/panic disorder, and mild depression. I've been on 40mg of Citalopram for several several months.
For the past couple of months I've been feeling very "off". I know it's very common in people whom have anxiety to have that feeling but I just need to know that I'm not entirely crazy in the head! I've been feeling like I'm forgetting EVERYTHING. It seems like my memory is getting horrible and sometimes it even seems like I'm forgetting how to speak in general. It's very scary sometimes. Also, I'm mixing up my words. Earlier today I was cleaning out my water bottle and was asked what I was doing, the words that came out were, "I'm cleaning out my wottle botter." I've been doing this more and more frequently. It's really starting to bug and get to me. I feel like I've got some kind of brain defect or something even though I'm sure it's just my anxiety getting to me.
I took out the garbage the other day and when I walked back into the house, it literally felt like I had never been there before in my life. I just can't stand this. I hate it.

Did you start with a smaller dose then slowly increased per your doctor's order, or did you start with 40mg?

I completely recalled something of which you mentioned. I did have trouble speaking correct words. My sentences were jumbled. I think for better articulation we, with lightning brain speed, think of what to say, start speaking simultaneously, and end sentences without too many uhs and ahs, but my motor function of speaking would get ahead of itself, and then I would blurt out words first that I meant to say later in the sentence. I would stumble through the rest of the sentence correcting myself. My therapist said perhaps it's that I have so much more exuberance, now that I have more serotonins. My thinking may adjust. I told her not only that, but I would just say things out loud, like "nice ass" and similar comments, but not just under my breath, louder, like I was forgetting to keep a respectful volume. LUcky that never got me in trouble, but it was weird. I figured that would adjust, which it did.
Again, you may have to adjust your meds if this has been happening for awhile. Depends on when the last time of increase (to 40mg) though. At the time of increase to 40mg, it may have been a touch too much and no adjustment has occurred over a long period. However if you have been taking 40mg since 2 weeks ago, perhaps it will subside soon.
