I am sensitive to cold sometimes.

12 th Nov: Pain in right foot. slight pain in right thigh and right foot sole got heated after walking.

I received results of Brain MRI conducted on 6th Nov - they are normal.

From 14th Nov – 19th Nov I had swallowing problems, I was feeling like something stuck in throat.

19th and 20th Nov- I got pain after walking in the area of right leg where leg meets foot. But On 21 th Nov- It suddenly disappeared. no pain at all.

20th Nov- I suddenly realized that left foot perceived cold but it is not cold to touch.

21st Nov yesterday- some kind of burning and itching on toes of right leg and itching feeling on toes of left leg. sometimes Pins and needles sensation on toes or fingers and sometimes over body. itching feeling also over the body.

Right hand fingers are colder than those of left hand but they are actually cold. Sometimes right leg toes  and some part of foot are colder than left one and they are actually cold.

Please anybody can have a look? why it is happening? I took antiviral treatment for 7 days for shingles. Shingles episode was smooth and I had very less pain. I have vitamin D deficiency and Shingles episode put me on the risk of getting MS? My symptoms are similar to MS? any other complications in body? like post herpetic neuralgia?

thanks a lot!

Sorry to hear you are having such symptoms! What does your doctor say to all this after the brain scans came back normal? I've had PHN from an undiagnosed case of shingles for 16 years now and  I'd have to say if you had PHN, you'd definitely know that's what it was from the intensity of the pain and sensitivity to touch. The vitamin D deficency could account for the cold feeling but in only one foot or leg is odd. Maybe you should see a neurologist. I don't know if symptoms are the same as MS?? Hope you get some answers real soon, good luck!

      Dear Patricia Madam,

Thank you very much for reply. I will go to neurologist soon. I will keep you posted my results. In the answer as you mentioned, the vitamin D deficiency accounts for the cold feeling; I want to ask you that you mean 'cold feeling is perception of coldness by foot but it is not actually cold' or you mean 'cold feeling is perception of coldness by foot and foot is actually cold too.

I kindly request you to reply me if possible. I wish you a nice weekend ahead!

      Thanks a lot smile

      best regards

Yes, kedar, I ment it like you stated in your list of symptoms...vitamin D deficiency could account for actually colder and the feeling colder. Like cold feeling to you and feeling colder to the touch. Either way, vitamin D might help! Hope you get relief soon and good luck with neurologist! Keep us posted on your progress.

    regards,
