Weird symptoms

I don't think anyone but myself is going through this, my mouth is so funny feeling, lips are chapped on the inside layer, teeth feel like razors, stomach growls all day long weather I eat or not, it's hard to eat because I can't taste food, constant draining in my throat, it's like a thick awful mucus, have been to doctor and been put on 3 meds that did not work, I feel like crap all the time and it's hard to focus on life. Try not to cry but I cry everyday, I am also addicted to sleeping pills and not sure if they are doing this to me, I can't find a doctor to help me, I am struggling through my life right now trying to hold on, been seriously thinking of ending my life and getting out of this mystery. I would not wish this on anyone .

im sorry you are feeling this way. Have you tried changing your diet and raising the head of your bed?. Maybe I don't feel as bad as you do I feel being deprived of everyday pleasures of life. i had to give up tea my comfort drink. I was already quite plain eater but swallowing problems has reduced me to being extremely limited on food choice. Just hang in there try your best and health is wealth.

Try to avoid skipping meals, must eat on time or never let yourself hungry. Must drink at least 8 glasses of water daily, exercise daily by walking or jogging at least 1 mile. Every time you feel that acid, try to boil an egg, the first time the water come boiling, you must take the egg out, it should be soft boil, put it on a running water to cool it & eat it then, that helps a lot to put that acid where it supposed to be. Must avoid stress & think positive. Read the Bible and start on the book of Psalms. Surround yourself with those who truly loves you. Forgive any offence & forgive yourself too. Please don't loose hope, you'll get heal, just be patient for what you're going to. I'm praying for you getting well in Jesus name...

Hi Frances, I am so sorry you have to go through this...Did your Dr tell you what could be wrong with you? If you don't mind, maybe if you can tell me the meds they tried, I could better advise you, too. I know having chronic medical issues is such a drain and can be so frustrating & stressful, a lot of people get anxiety but, don't ever lose HOPE!!! I am thinking you're really fed-up right now but, if you are in a crisis please go to hospital or call/talk to somebody!!! Don't stop seeing your Dr and in the meantime, ask if these are okay or can help: sleep propped up, would an anti-histamine or anti-inflammatory or a nasal spray help your mucous? (Could it be allergies? food, environmental)Stay hydrated drink water, keep your mouth clean & try moisturizing mouthwash if its dry, use lip moisturizer...eat many small meals(have they checked your blood sugar??) not too much sugar or salt(have they mentioned vitamin deficiencies)healthy snacks like fruit, veges, nuts, dairy(although it can thicken secretions)...make a list of things to ask your Dr....trying things at home can give you some control & give you hope that something can help, even a little bit, keep/make a support system(people to talk to) so you don't feel alone!! You will find the right solution, don't give up...there are lots of things to look into still, there is HOPE!! Please take care of yourself, relax, de-stress, see a counsellor if you think it may help, until you get some answers!! BEST WISHES💒♾🐾🎶🌈🍀☮💞

i know how debilitating this is. i too am suffering very badly with acid reflux, but with different symptoms.. i know the suffering and anguish it can cause. i havent left my house other than dr appts. in a month because i constantly dont feel well and i dont want to do anything.. do you have a GI dr. or just a pcp? if you dont have a GI dr then that should be your first step... secondly request a 24 hour PH test. this test measures the amount of acid AND non acid reflux into the esophagus.. sometimes its non acid that causes problems which PPIS cant fix. However, the PH test is not pleasant. they have to stick w cathetor up your nose into the esophagus.. i tried doing this test and was unable to tolerate it. im scheduled for a 48 hour PH test which is with an upper endoscopy where the insert a little chip into the esophagus..
dont give up because i believe there is hope for people like us that suffer and dont respond well to medication.

Thanks and I am looking in to seeing a GI doctor again, it has been a very long battle trying to figure this out. Hoping something can be done with this. Trying not to give up hope.

you've got this.. you really do. i saw my GI doctor today and she said diet is KEY to managing this disease, but medication is not a cure, you can still have flareups with meds especially with lifestyle changes. in my case its suspected that i got sick with bronchitis, went on antibiotics which likely disrupted my gut making things worse. the same exact thing happened to me last year, and it took me 2 months to regulate my symptoms.. its hell, i know. i have 3 young kids and could never end my life, but when times are bad i sometimes think it would be easier if i just slipped away in my sleep so i wouldnt have to suffer... i want to live, i want to experience life, im just miserable and upset by how bad i constantly feel. i have been listening to meditation healing hypnosis music on youtube while i sleep.. the subconcious mind takes in this information. theres a lot of evidence to support that we have the capability to heal ourselves with the right mindset. ive been doing this and i swear, im feeling some improvement these last couple days. anyway, its worth a shot, if anything it will help you sleep.
