Okay here we go I'm 28 year old male. The last 2 years have been a roller coaster with no answers it started 2 years ago I had yellow loose stools that looked like food wasnt being digested and pain in my abdominal. They did a abdominal Ct scan came back normal they then did a colonoscopy didnt find anything said eh it's probably ibs. So I decided to ignore it pain came and went stools remained abnormal. Then last December I started having trouble swallowing certain foods and heart burn so they did a endoscopy and a barium swallow only thing they came back with was a mild hiatal hernia. About month later my abdominal pain is now getting worse. Usually on lower parts of ribs or below it with tenderness on both sides the pain which used to come and go is now constant as far as the pain scale goes most of the time it ranges 2-5 (10 being the worst) eating and breathing dont have any effect on it doesn't make it better or worse the only time it doesn't hurt is when I'm asleep they did a ultrasound came back normal said I have kinda fatty liver but weren't concerned they then had me do a chest ct scan to see if it was my chest or lungs came back fine they said I had one nodule in upper right of lung but was extremely small and think it is benign I've been to E.R. twice now they have checked my blood and everything says normal. I went to my doc and they want to do HIDA scan she believes its my gall bladder cause of tenderness under right rib but I have tenderness on left as well? I now have been experiencing lower back pain as well for last 5 days. Does any of this or time period even remotely sound like gallbladder cause I'm not convinced. Almost all my symptoms and test dont seem to super fit with gallbladder any info would be greatly appreciated

Its like when you have a sore stomach smelly.
They had a scan of my gallbladder and said there were no stones etc blood tests the same.
I’m booked in for a colonoscopy eventually when they give me an appointment could be months I’ve got pain both sides of bottom ribs more towards the back.

Yea stools are 9 times out of 10 yellow can be solid usually loose though they smell weird have mucus and and little bit oily.
The pain is usually a stabby pain constant all the time now I get it on right, left and occasionally in middle as well. I have tender spots right below ribs on both sides. Doctor thinks it gallbladder.
But honestly from what I've read alot of people say right side only. I also don't get severe pain like described in GB attack. I'm honestly getting worried that it's pancreatic cancer even though it is extremely rare in someone my age.

Hi are you eating fatty foods. Also do you have any nausea or vomiting. If so it's possibly your gallbladder. If you say food is not being digested that is a sign of gallbladder disease. I know I went through it myself. I had pain right side and middle upper quadrant. Back pain right side. And yellow stools. Excessive bile make stools yellow. So it's up to you to seek help for this ok. Good Luck.

And reduce your alcohol to a minimum , only wine or beer, hard liquor is really bad for your liver , and yes Liver can cause you pain too.

Hi Sparog , the reason I suggested MRI with contrast is because 3 years ago I felt very sick for days and the gastroenterologist was sure my gallblader was diseased ,he wanted me to get it removed and do a Hida scan first. I was afraid to get a Hida scan , I don't know why so I decided to pay cash for an MRI with contrast ,and everything in my abdomen was normal and healthy , eventually I changed diet , lifestyle and drank less so I healed.
MRI with contrast will reveal everything in details.

I really do appreciate the info I will be asking about a MRI next time I get a chance to speak to my doctor. I'm open and willing to do whatever it takes to feel better between my sides and my lower back the pain is constant. I've tried numerous things change in diet and lifestyle no junk food lots of fiber and probiotics I don't even drink coffee or energy drinks anymore I try to go to the gym for light work outs when the pain isn't as bad I've done ice and warm compresses nothing really seems to help though they think it's my gall bladder but idk symptoms don't sound right. I havent talked to anyone yet that has had same symptoms that I am having. If it truly is my gallbladder my symptoms seem very unusual I often wonder if someone else has had this happen and it actually was there gallbladder. The whole thing is very frustrating and discouraging.

Update I got results from hida scan they said it's at 99% that they recommend removing it because they think it is over-active. Does anyone know more about this?
