Weird symptoms, no definite diagnosis yet

Hi all,
I’ve been having some weird symptoms for quite some time now (about a year) and I’ve only now started to get the ball rolling with an ENT. Reason why it’s taken so long is because my prior GP disregarded my symptoms. Needless to say I switched doctors since then. Anyways, my symptoms include an enlarged lymph node behind my left ear(about the size of a grape, no pain), one swollen tonsil, absolute exhaustion after a normal day, persistent itchiness on my legs, and 2cm growth behind my tonsil (found in a CT scan earlier this year). My ENT said it could be Lymphoma, but it could also not be anything cancerous. I’m having a tonsillectomy in a month (which will be tested) and a biopsy of the lymph node behind my ear. Also, I should mention that they’ve ruled out any type of common infection (i.e strep throat). Just want some perspective before I go back for the procedure.
Thanks,
Sarah

Hi. It's really difficult to know what you want us to tell you. You've done all the things that we would have advised you to do - including changing doctors, so there's nothing else for us to suggest. Once you have been diagnosed we are here to support you and help you through any treatment you might undergo. Until then, like you, we are in the dark. I should say that if it is lymphoma try not to go into a panic. I was diagnosed just over 2 years ago and am still here after treatment that wasn't half as bad as I thought it was going to be. I've also had Gamma Knife surgery for a meningioma (a type of brain tumour) which was unrelated to the cancer. Modern medicine is a marvelous thing.

Fever? Night Sweats? Weight Loss?
Do you know your lymphocyte level?
Have they done an Ultrasound?
Do you have any facial skin conditions?
If it really is grape sized - then it definitely needs proper investigation.
