Ive been so f***n worried because of this. I have healthy anxiety and as soon as I felt it I went to google and searched it up first thing that showed up was a stroke or heart attack. My heart is good ive had ekgs always normal so its not a heart attack. I just keep thinking its a stroke and this messes with my anxiety so much because its all I think about. Yesterday it happened after I was in the sun mind you its so hot here in Cali right now over 100. My face had a tingle sensation  and was itchy too I dont kno how to describe it almost a burn feeling IDK !! But it happens right at my cheek bones. This scares me thinking its a stroke and my doctors appointment isnt until this friday and its only wednesday ugh. My mom tells me to calm down it isnt nothing it could be the sun but I wont believe it until I see the doctor but its 2 days from now. Im 17 what is this ?

sad(((

Hi Stacy, have you used any new face creams, shower gels etc, recently? Or eaten any new foods? This could be the cause but obviously still go to your doctor to be on the safe side. I notice that I also get a tingly sensation in my lips when I am anxious so it could be down to anxiety. And don't forget, anxiety can play a lot of tricks on you too.

Ok first, stay calm. Second, use common sense. If you think you are in trouble, go to ER and get checked out for sure. Peace of mind comes from knowing what it is NOT. Then once all else is ruled out... it must be a game your head is playing with you. Your not crazy, you brain chemistry is out of whack and needs a reset. Your brain can get so cold like any other part of your body. And can heal just like any other part. It's probably anxiety, but be sure it's nothing else first.

Hi, I'm certain this is nothing but a usual and perfectly normal sensation your experiencing, we have so many twitches, twinges, muscle spasms, tingling sensations our bodies experience as part of a perfectly healthy thing it's just with health anxiety we become acutely aware of them and end up researching and coming to the completely wrong conclusion.

Your not experiencing or posting the typical series of symptoms associated with a stroke so o know your not having one.

Just as a side I get tingling sensations on parts of my face, especially my scalp but I know it's nothing to be worried about. When you see your GP ask to be treated for your health anxiety.

    Hi Stacey,

I have been experiencing the samething on and off for the past 5 months. Its all part of Anxiety. I get the tingling sensation, with numbness sometimes. I sometimes feel like my cheeks are swollen and stiff, but there is no swelling. I went to the ER a few months ago and the DR told me the feeling of tingling happens because im not breathing and getting enough oxygen to my face. Try relaxing and breathing exercises, meditation. It does really help. Key is not to panic. If anything go to the dr or ER for peace of mind. Anxiety sucks, you have to learn to accept the symptoms and you will be ok. Im experiencing tingling and tightness of my face as im typing 😡 but its the new norm for me.
