Weird tremors

Posted , 6 users are following.

I have been feeling better and eating way better adding some weight back on about 6-8 pounds but i have tremors in my hands now and im not sure if i should go to the doctor or not or they will go away. I am tired of going to different doctors but the more i think about it it seems the worse it gets. I am not sure if its in my head but its aggravating me to say the least. I hope its nothing to serious. My girlfriend did hit me in the head with a golf club when i was trying to teach her to play last year maybe that caused it and i never noticed them until now. its only when im trying trying to do stuff or straining.

Go see a neurologist to at least put your mind at ease. That is a symptom I have not had personally. Maybe someone else has but if you have insurance and can swing it....always see doctors. It helps. As for the weight gain....YAY!!! I have manage to put on 2 pounds and am ecstatic about it! It helps ease my cancer fears LOL

Tremors are a part of the virus. Mine would disappear then return off and on.

The best I can remember they seem to show up more after exerting. That for me was even with very lite exertion. I can remember my hands shaking when I was eating.

It will get better! It will go away! Don't push! Accept your limits! Rest! Do something you enjoy every day! Get some fresh air and sunshine!

I'm much older but it took me 24 months to feel it was behind me.

    Prayers, Rhonda

Well i have to return to work week and i am an ironworker which is a very physical and tiring job. I was thinking of getting it checked out before i return to work. Right now my symptoms tend to be the hands shaking some headaches especially in the morning and random pains. A little foggy headed but better than it was. Just trying to cover everything before i get back out there.

24 months ! when did you start to see a turnaround ? im desperate for this to be over and am only at 11 months . i too had the trembling after exertion .

Hi Lori, I understand your desperation! I think it was about 18 months before I realized that I had slowly through many ups and downs arrived to a place that I could feel and see some true evidence that I was able to do activities without a real setback! I listened to a young lady we ho had slowly recovered. I feel her advice help me so much. Acknowledge that you are ill. Accept that you are limited. Appreciate what you are able to do.

You will get well! You can't get there by pushing. You body pushes back! Keep telling yourself you will get well even when you doubt it's true. Eat healthy as possible. Stay away from alcohol and caffeine. I found sweets were not good for me.

Comfort yourself and be kind to yourself!

Very sorry to hear you have to return to work soon! It's fine to get it checked out! I feel returning to work will soon put you in a relapse. I sure hope I'm wrong. Just remember your health is your wealth and it must come first!

It's tough Josh for sure when you feel under pressure to get back to work, especially when it's such physical work. Please just be careful and remember put your health first always. Even if it means going at a slower pace or having a phased return or anything that can really help - just look after yourself - you are more important than any job for sure. I know it's so hard though when need to make ends meat.

    Hey Josh,

Hoping very much these tremors settle down for you, I've had times where tremors have concerned me too and empathising as it can be a frightening thing and something that really gets into your head.

I totally agree with Rhonda that this kind of thing can be a common symptom during the virus for some people. Your nervous system takes such a jolt with this, but as Rhonda says all these symptoms do go away as your body recovers. I know for sure it's tiring and wearying keeping going to doctors, it can be draining, but don't worry how often you need to see the doctor Josh this is such an awful virus and if you have any concerns it's often wise and good to go and get them checked out and discuss - just hoping there can be a good doctor who is understanding and takes the time to reassure and give good advice / help.

Vitamins and herbs that are good for tremors and the nervous system include a B complex vitamin per day, Co-enzyme Q10, cayenne pepper, chamomile and feverfew. I've found these things helpful in settling my system down when going through times of stress and fighting infection. But of course I'm no expert this is all just from my own research / knowledge / experience, always make sure you check for an interactions with other conditions / mediation when taking any herbs / supplements. Even seeing a natural herbalist for advice / info can be great, something which has helped me at various times for sure.

Hoping things settle and that you can continue to see some progress - remember it can take time for your body to rebuild after this thing but that absolutely you will get there!
