Steve , Vertigo is the symptom, not the cause.  If you feel

dizziness or fuzzy head, that causes you to feel unbalanced or any kind of

Disequilibrium, the. They need to tell whAt is causing it, ie Ménière's,s disease, BPPV, Nystagmus, Vestibular neuritis, etc etc.

Hi Gillian well what a waste of time that was he has dischrged me as he does knot know what it is after telling me i had BPPV the last time i saw him

As the violent dizzy spells have gone and just left feeling light headed sometimes and glassy eyed with a feeling of a full fluffy head sounds mad but true.

He has suggested seeing a neurologist now as he thinks its not an ENT problem !!

      Wat a joke!!

this was how i was left feeling.  The week i went back for my appointment i felt a lot better and was discharged.  A week later it returned.

Yes I am not surprised, ENT,s are useless for our problem as I have found out and have wasted 4 years!, of my time!  If you tell them you are feelin so much as. Tiny bit better That,s,it,,goodbye, sign you off,,more room for another patient to do,the same to!  Actually they have done you a favour believe me. ,Yes you should, see a Neuro, but a Neuro Otologist, as I have done and don,t settle for anything less,  get on line and Google for Neuro otologists in your area, nd then you should see which hospitals, they operate out of.  I am not saying they re all good, either so,check reviews,if you can then when you'be  one you like the sound of, go to,your gp, and TELL (not ask!) you want to be referred to this person/hosp with Neuro OTOLOGY dept! They cannot, refuse you, especially as thenENT bod has suggested it, which you make sure to remind your GP about! Good, luck and get researching!

Cheers Gillian i will ask my gp to refer me but after reading peoples problems on this forum you do sometimes wonder if things will ever resolve them selves!!

I feel the same way. I haven't been able to find any answers. I am glad my bad days are fewer now though. It has been over a year and I think I am where I am going to be. The hardest part is not being able to drive and am pretty much house bound as a result.

Wow linda that is bad i suppose i should be grateful i can still drive sometimes and get out the house

Have they said what you have wrong with you ?

Vestibular neuritis. Still I am very lucky I did not loose any hearing and I am still able to  move about the house.
