Wet Ones UK - which ones?

Posted , 2 users are following.

I've read lots of promising discussions about using Wet Ones to treat blepharitis, but can someone tell me exactly which ones to buy? I know I need ones with Benzethonium Chloride in (I think), but how do I know which ones to order as I can't see that ingredient listed. Does anyone have any UK weblinks to the correct Wet Wipes to order? Getting desperate and really hoping these will help.

You can try Huggies baby wipes but do be very gentle with how you use them. Not more than once per day and if they cause any irritation at all stop using them. On no account be tempted to use the household wipes.

Your comment about warm compresses causing grittiness is quite common,so only do it once or twice per week. Are you using plenty of lubricating drops, especially at night?

Thanks for coming back to me Marina and thanks for the advice on Huggies. Yes, I'm using Viscotears gel. I use it everyday, once in the morning and once before bed. I will use it during the day too if needed, usually in the evening.

I've also used Ocusoft lid scrub plus wipes once a day as part of lid hygiene routine. I found I was rubbing my eyes constantly so stopped using them. The itchiness went away immediately and I had no need to rub my eyes during the day. I went back to using a wash cloth and baby shampoo and for a few days I was fine but now I'm finding my eyes and eyelashes itch again and I'm getting white stringy mucus discharge from them which I wasn't when using Ocusoft.

      Hating this 😦
