What a Numpty !!

Today we decided to go to Banham Zoo, a favourite place of ours, so I said I would drive in my new car.  Loved the drive, longest one I've done so far 1 hour 15 mins, so far so good. Got out of the car at \Banham and realised very quickly I'd left my stick at home !!! What a numpty. Luckyily I had pre-booked a wheelchair in case I got tired of walking, so it worked as a walker and a chair. Had a lovely 7 hours at the zoo I drove home ... had no ill effects at all except a bit of a burning pain in my scar area. Also in the afternoon if you touched my thighs the left one (operated side) was a lot hotter than the other side.Do you think this is anything to worry about? My foot and ankle has swollen nicely again, wish that would go.it's annoying more than hurting now.

Came home with fish and chips for supper now going to watch some tv , hope everyone is ok and love to all my hippy friends. Love Gill xxx

Dont worry Gill, I did far too much on Sunday and then went to a BBQ in the village so on my feet a tad longer than you, came home to see "elephant leg" again and it was still swollen on Monday. I am 5 months now but goes to show how long it all takes. Enjoy your fish and chips supper and put the peas on your leg. Hugs, Dot xx

    Hi Gillcat

Glad you had a good day at least you didn'rt have to go back home again. Might be an idea to have 2 sticks then you keep one in the car so you know you always have one.

I agree the swelling is annoying and the only way I know whow to help with it is a pack of frozen peas and put my feet up higher than my heart.. The swelling goes back down after about an hour.

Nice to have a meal from the chip shop. Saves cooking after a long day. Enjhoy what ever you are watching. xxx

Glad you had a good day and I am sure the swelling etc is due to the outing.

I have two folding walking sticks. One in my husbands car and one in mine. Then I cannot forget

    Dear Gill,

If I over do things I get a redness around the cut and the whole area is hot to the touch...I just put a flannel damped in cold water and the following day everything is back to normal.

    Hi Gill

Maybe just overdone it a little - we never know what we can do till we have a try do we. As we all know it's just a case of resting up a bit when we go over the limit. It's all part of the recovery process, seeing how much we can do. Going to get my hair done today and going without my crutch so another little milestone out of the way. Each day we move a little farther forwards don't we?

Have a great day, you two!

    Kind regards Linda

Glad you had a lovely day and enjoyed your fish and chips
