What about SED rate?

Hi all fibromyalgia fellow sufferers.  I have had fibro 30 years, and I think I am familiar with how it feels.  I got an extra firey pain in my shoulder, arms, hips, legs about 3 years ago and the Rheum. diagnosed Polymyalgia.  Prednisone helped that particular pain very much.  But now my dr wants me to believe that that extra pain is fibromyalgia instead (maybe in order to get me to stop pred?)  I feel like saying to him, I have had fibro for 30 years, I think I know what it feels like - this is different. But I guess I'd like to check with you all.  Do you have a different pain sometimes that hurts arms, shoulders, ribs, legs, hips?  Do any fibro people have a SED rate that is high?  Mine is high, one more reason,  I think, to call it Polymyalgia.  I've been to that forum often, but thought I'd stop here to ask if anyone thinks maybe my pain is fibro getting worse suddenly?  Thanks, all.

Hiya DebbieHurts, I have had over 30 years too.....I also get shoulder pain too grrr..having said that some doctors just like to blame everything we get wrong with us on Fibro ....I'd get a second opinion if it was me ...although it's just hard once you tell a doctor you have Fibro..and you really have to, that's what they focus on.. do hope you get some answers on here....gentle hugs and be blessed...have a lovely day...:-) xxx
