You could try the Low Fodmap diet or a food diary. Also look at stress levels.. It could be both food and stress that is the problem or one or the other. It is all about managing your symptoms rather than curing them because there is no cure for IBS.

hi manisha, there is no ideal diet for ibs sufferers, you have to work with health professionals a dietitian preferably to tailor your diet for you. you may need more tests and more information before they confirm you have ibs. good luck!

Hi Manish 50005,Ibs can be managed by looking on the internet for the fod map,as there is no cure for this. Also if you look at the ibs Network that will also help you too understand what you can do to help get it under control. You can also ask the doctor to prescribe you 20 mgs Citrolopram as this is a medication for anti depressants which as ibs works for anxiety.

Does Citroloplan cause tummy problems as the Sertraline I have been put on for depression/Anxiety makes me really ill?

    Thank you

Thanks Sam. I feel so ill on Sertraline and have reduced it to half a tablet now but apparently you should not stop it instantly but gradually.

I am also on antibiotics which really upset my stomach. I have had to take immodium today after each bowel movement as so bad.

Feeling constantly sick with bad diarrohea is just awful and very frightening as well.

I just do not feel like eating at all.

have you taken replacement sachets which have electrolytes and essential salts in them? ask your chemist about this

what are the antibiotics for? i have a sinus infection so am taking antibiotics for that plus a probiotic - try those maybe see how you go. hopefully you'll be well soon.
