Hello, mine is waking up frequently (to use the toilet) & not being able to get back off, also waking too early, sometimes 3 or 4 a.m.  I don't usually have any problems going off to sleep at bedtime.  In fact I'm often nodding off by about

9 pm.  Very difficult to cure - been like this for 12 years.

Have tried prescription sleeping tablets, but some of the side effects are horrendous, including insomnia in one case!  So gave up with them.

At the moment I'm taking a concoction of 200mg Magnesium, 200mg Calcium, 2 Calms Forte & 750mg GABA at bedtime.  When I wake in the night I take another Calms Forte.  I also have 5HTP & a good quality miltivitamin.    I've tried Holy Basil & that works quite well for me.

I also try & get at least 1/2 - 1  hour exercise every day.  Hope this helps.

Hi...I suffer extreme sleep deprivation... I literally cannot remember the last time I slept 2 nights in a week.  I've gone 8 days without closing my eyes and didn't get tired. I finally had to take a med I do not to take to get to sleep..I'm averaging about 8 hours a week no longer take anything but melatonin. Racing thought are one of the common problems with sleep disorders. I finally completed a sleep study...they could not help me. Short of taking sleep inducing narcotics ...and I won't go there...I can't find a way to sleep..sometimes I listen to asma videotapes also known as water whisperers..a virtual massage or hairbrushing, soothing sounds to relax.. And this has helped.I believe very strongly in the relaxing power of Reike as well.dreams (when I sleep) seem a bigroblem with me. If I don't like them I wake myself up.Good relaxation methods, melatonin,Valerian root St. Johns wart and other organic naturopathic meds can help as well. Good luck! Jude🎼

Sleep apnea and insomnia are the most common sleep disorder. Insomnia can be caused by psychological, physical or even medical causes. So you need to note down the particular time your insomnia started to occur. Sleep apnea can also cause insomnia. It is a disorder wherein you can experience pauses in your breathing while you are asleep.

to treat your sleep disorder you need to follow some sleep hygiene tips this includes going to bed at the same time every night and not going to read books or watch dvd. Camomile tea can also sooth your mind and help you relax before going to sleep.
