what are these spots on my chest? should i be worried?

i can't remember when the first showed up, but i know they aren't birth marks

    They may be Tinea Versicolor which is fungal. You can try washing with a dandruff shampoo. Work a little shampoo into the areas, leave for 5 minutes then wash off thoroughly. Do this on alternate days. You may have to try several different dandruff shampoos before you get results. You can also get an antifungal cream with Clotrimamzole as the active ingredient and use this after washing . If nothing works then you may need something stronger from your doctor.
