What are your Symptoms

I am new to this and currently in the process of being tested. I am on the second day of 6 weeks of eating gluten. It was by chance that I’m getting tested. These are my symptoms. Low B12 and folate, bloating, stomach ache, tiredness, constipation, depression ( also have bipolar so it could be that ). I don’t have any of the other on the list so I’m thinking I can’t have it. I would be interested to hear what symptoms others have

Hi Becks I've just been diagnosed coeliac a couple of weeks ago and it was a shock!  I thought people with coeliac disease were young, anaemic, underweight and suffered from diarrhoea.  I am 50, overweight and always constipated! (sorry for the gory details).  My 'symptoms' such as they were have been stomach aches and pains for a few years - I'd previously been to and from the gp with this and they could never find anything until one gp sent away for a coeliac screen and that was it.  I also have had anxiety, brain fog and the most debilitating exhaustion - I went through a phase of sleeping every afternoon and still being shattered after ten hours sleep at night.  My symptoms were vague but they can be - some people have none.  Good luck with it all.  If you are coeliac then Coeliac UK are amazing.

I was diagnosed two months ago with Celiac Disease, it took five ER trips and multiple doctors visits to finally get a diagnosis. My symptoms were/are hair loss, sever abdominal pain, brittle nails, sever itchy skin, headaches, 50 pounds weight loss, bloody noses, numbness in my hands legs and face, blisters on my face anxiety disorder and joint pain! I had a baby and bam all of my symptoms appeared! I thought I was dying :-(

I was asked to start eating gluten again last month but I could only manage 3 days. I felt terrible. Swollen painful tummy, constipated, feeling sick, depressed, irritable and very tired. I have now not eaten gluten since then and I have so much energy, no constipation, no swollen tummy, no feeling sick and I am not irritable. I am due the follow up blood test in a couple of weeks but I haven't told the doctors yet about me stopping eating gluten. Should I ring the doctors and tell them or just not go for the blood test and keep quiet

I have just seen your post. There is no point having the blood test if you haven't been eating gluten for at least 6 weeks prior. it will come back negative.
