Posted , 17 users are following.

For me ...

Migraines..

Dizziness..

Off balance..

Jelly legs (very weak in the legs)

Blurry vision..

Numbness (usually one side of body)

Anxiety (general and health)

Worsening of conditions..

Feeling like I don't want to be alone, or drive anywhere alone..but enjoy my alone time ( if that makes sense)

Sinus head pressure ( I think hormones make this worse)

Extreme fatigue..

Low blood sugar..

Feeling lightheaded (almost faint type feeling)

Forgetful..( forget mid sentence what I'm saying, or doing or where I'm going.. Quite scary)

Weird shooting pains in head ..(and through out the body)

Twitching ..(everywhere)

Nervous..

Doom and gloom..

Crying episodes..

All over weakness..

My symptoms come and go , but one or another or more are always with me..and just keep repeating every month..

Please share how and what you all are feeling...

Oh goodness! I have only been in it a year and there are already so many! I have had terrible mood swings, swelling of limbs, numbness, tingling, burning ears, hot flashes, night sweats, uncontrollable crying episodes, horrible anxiety and most recently health anxiety, impending doom to the point I planned out how my husband would pay off our car, burning skin, pains in my ribs, blurry vision, breathlessness, chest pressure, and heavy legs and arms like I was walking through jello. I am only 40 but my mom and grandma both had the change early and I have no children so I have been peri since last year! I am not excited to do this for possibly 10 years or more but I am so happy to have found this group!

You poor thing having all that lot in a year! I've had everything you mention except for heavy arms and legs, but not all in one year! Agree, this forum is such a lifeline. Although its awful to realise so many women have these horrendous symptoms, it eases my anxiety a bit (unless its 3am in which case nothing helps!)

Oh my !! Yes to all of that..the mind can definitely have us thinking the worst for sure.. I can relate..40 s seems to be the magic age for these awful symptoms.. I can say my 40s is /was the worst time of my life.. What a shame to because I was looking forward to them.. They are almost over for me and seems like as im headed for my 50s its going to be much of the same ..

I envy you that your migraines with auras have resolved!!! Thats fantastic I so can't wait for that day.. My very bad bad symptoms started at 45 also joint pains and frozen shoulders started first at 43 and I'm now 49 as well.. I never imagined in a million years that id be going thru this ..its so awful.. And then to ad covid to it we are really suffering here..I also have thyroid issues (Hashimotos) and rheumatoid arthritis shows up in my bloodwork also.. Ever since the frozen shoulders and joint pains at 43 so I was diagnosed with them two. ( have a feeling hormones have a lot to do with the autoimmune diseases) thank you for sharing it really helps us all cope..to read everyone else's journey through this ..

Also forgot to ask you what happens when you have thyroid flare ups and what do you do to manage them? Thanks 😃

if its thyroiditis then steroids and anti inflammatories. increase in Levothyroxine. decreasing stress is paramount. im having one now. i have had a pretty big goiter for 4 years. for the 1st time im having serious swallowing issues due to the goiter and nodules. stinks!!!

I had my first migraine with aura 2 years ago at 43. I swear I have PTSD from those terrifying 45 minutes. I had never even heard of an aura before it happened to me. Did you always have them or did they start in peri? When you say, "resolved" does that mean you don't get them anymore or just not as frequently?

i had auras since my twenties but didn't know what they were. mine are scary. sudden head pressure and dizziness out of nowhere and its like seeing fuzzy tv waves where i cant see for about 3 seconds. i thought i was having mini seizures. had an MRI in twenties which showed i had 2 previous brain bleeds due to venous malformations. migraines were infrequent.

my daily migraines started out of the blue at around 44. every day at 3pm my face would get super hot like it was burning and then migraine from hell and scalp pain on the left side only so bad i would lay down every day at around 7 and literally pray. no meds worked. i have 3 kids and husband was never home so this was so hard. this went on for a year. no clue what made them stop. still have auras several times per year but no migraines.

Just started having stress migraine. no auras thankfully just light sensitive. My doctor just prescribed me a migraine medication which works. They started because of HRT. Though I have changed HRT still getting when i am stress. after reading your post wondering if i should of had brain scan.

Hang in there. It is tough... Last week I had back to back migraines that lasted 3 days each, thought it was over and got punched with another, on top of all the other debilitating symptoms.. Stay strong ❤
