What Bowel Preparation required before the LIS Surgery for Anal Fissure?

Hi All

My LIS surgery is scheduled on 10/20. For those who did LIS surgery before, how was you bowel preparation before the surgery? Did you clean your bowel yourself and how? or Hospital cleaned it? For me hospital said no bowel preparation required. I live in Houston. I am really confused why they don't need any bowel cleaning before surgery? They only told me not to eat and drink anything after midnight.

    hi,

    I was asked to purchase a fleet enema from the pharmacy and use it two hours before I got into the car to drive to the surgery centre.

    Yes, definitely do not eat or drink anything after midnight, not even water!
