I am in a panic! Been handed a food death sentence and am worried anything I eat won't be right. What does a vegetarian eat with allergies with an diverticulitis flare up? Just so so confused. Can you die of diverticulitis? Am scared to death, worried and panicked. No jokes please - frightened enough already.

I am having a flare up now. I was in the hospital for two days and got out Sunday. I took home the pill forms of the IV meds I was on. They didn't change my diet so I was trying to eat normal food. Bad idea. I have been eating a bland diet the last couple of days with bananas and dry wheat toast. Didn't help the pain any. Just a few minutes ago I ate some mashed potatoes and I'm hoping they don't make me sicker. The meds are so strong that you have to eat something. Did they give you antibiotics? This is my second big flare up.

Oh you poor girl I feel for you! Do you have ibs or diverticulitis? I didn't even know what to eat last night as I was so lost. I hope you find something to eat as I just got so stuck - everything has fibre in it!
