What could cause long red cuts on either side of the clitoris?

For the past few years I’ve been struggling with constant once a month or twice a month yeast infections, with no rhyme or reason. When I say several years, I mean around 5 years. I’ve been to lots of doctors, and they seem to do nothing to help me. Recently my doctor gave me a prescription to refill every time a get a yeast infection, but my body is now developing a tolerance. I’ve been tested for STI’s several times, and the tests are always negative. Anyone else been struggling with this and find out a cure?
Now, a problem I’ve been having recently is really bad itching and these red cut like things that run on either side of my clit. Is this just apart of thrush/yeast ? Or could it be something totally different?

I had recurrent thrush (one or twice a month, like you) for about half a year in 2013. Have you kept a record of when it happens? Mine seems to happen after sex and just before my period (which i read is quite common, due to the change in hormone levels). The usual 150mg dose of fluconazole (oral tablet) didn’t get rid of it permanently, nor did 50mg per day for one week, then for 2 weeks. It always came back. In the end I saw a consultant who gave me 100mg per day for one week and I also excluded all sugars and artificial sweeteners (feed the yeast) and yeast from my food and drink for 2 weeks. Then I gradually re-introduced fruit. I still do not eat any sugar or food containing added sugar or sweeteners. The only sugar I eat is naturally occurring in fruit. I eat sourdough or soda bread. I also took lots of anti yeast suppliments (pre and probiotics, thyme, rosemary, oregano oil, resveratrol, garlic, caprylic acid, etc) and applied pure raw organic cold pressed coconut oil internally and externally after every time I went to the toilet (it has natural anti fungal properties). The frequency of the recurrence of thrush went down to every 4 months, then 6 months. Now, I haven’t had it for a long time. But whenever I feel itchy I just take a 150mg fluconazole tablet, just in case, before other symptoms appear such as redness, soreness and discharge. It may well be that the itch is just an itch, but I’d rather take the fluconazole, just in case. It doesn’t do me any harm.

I've had the same problems for the past 5 years as well. I was itchy, red and had white covering my vulva. The doctor gave me hormone cream, because I'm post menopause, but this did nothing to easy the crazy itch. I have started cleaning myself after going to the bathroom using hydrogen peroxide and water. I've only been doing this for 5 days, but I finally feel normal!! You have to really dilute the HP. I wet the toilet paper and then spray the HP on it.
