What could cause these symptoms

Hi, i am 45 and For last 3 months i have been suffering with stomach distortion permantly , need to wee more often makes my bladder ache also  I have  heavy pelvic cramps , like I am due on . My periods are heavy and pain full first 24 hours, but then fine. Also regular.

my mum died 5 years ago of ovarian cancer at age 59.

if I put in bloating distortion / pelvic pain ....ovarian cancer comes up over and over again. I was wondering if anyone experianced these syptoms or  knows , Could just a cyst cause same symptoms as ovarian cancer ? 

Doctors are just so slow to do anything, I had a blood test for ca125 which was normal, but not sure if that is proof  I defiantly do not have ovarian cancer.

Had to really push to get a scan, even though i am in pain and I look about 7 months pregnant (I am a sz 10 .)

any reassurance appreciated .

    Hi sandio- I understand how worried you are as this happened to me before Xmas. I had an operation hysterectomy( my choice as I'm older than you) end of Jan and feel great now. Your mind goes into overdrive but my CA125 was only 27 (35 is normal) and I was told by a nurse it's usuually in100s or 1000s if cancer.My cysts were benign and I feel you will be OK in that sense. I'm sorry about your Mum but  you are in the system and will get the best of treatments. Have you had a CT scan or MRI - that could also set your mind at rest. Try to look on the positive side as we tend always to think the worst and often,as with me and thousands of women it doesn't happen. Good luck x

    If you have not had your scan yet and it is weeks away and you are getting pain, present at a&e and the will artange one immediately! Gp's act like they think they are god and they are extremely far from it! Scan should have been immediate by the sound of your symptoms! Please get checked immediately and let me know xx

    The  scan was canceled because ca125 was ok ( they did not tell me, I had to find that out for myself!) I then had to start procedure again 6 weeks waiting. Doctor said  N I C E  procedure says if ca125 levels are normal then I cannot have a scan. So think doctor had to word the letter differently and apply for scan again. 

    That was a month ago. Went back to doctor again and she said she would request it sooner, but that's another 2 weeks. Through personal experience with my mum, knowing that if it is ovarian cancer ,time is crucial ,the length of time for the doctors to sort a scan out seems crazy. 

    By the time they diagnosed my mum she had 9 months left.

    i do understand that it is difficult for doctors and hospitals but I don't feel very confident with my doctors at the moment . 

    Sylvia71047 did you have similar symptoms ? 

    I almost went A&E but hopefully close to scan now. Just need answers ! I am trying to stay positive but it is such a stain .

      I didn't have any symptoms- I had an USscan for cystitis which was fine but got a phone call the next day to say I had a pelvic mass (2 cysts and other things?) Because I'm post menopausal-high risk,they said I would be treated for ovarian cancer and booked me in with an oncologist. To say I was shocked is an understatement but the gynae said there are often no symptoms with cancer! You do have symptoms and they don't seem to be in a rush with you which seems good. Even tho it was Xmas and New year I was seen to and operated on quickly.Good luck with your CT scan. x
