positive for 1, negative for 2. My doctor stated that type one is not currently active and that it would not affect my genital area.

i have a couple of questions? do you get cold sores ? and if it wont show on your genitals what are those sores in the picture, was it caused by the yeast infection ? and was it a swab or a blood test ?

i have never got a cold sore a day in my life, and that area becomes red after a shower. ( it becomes agitated with me using soap and a wash cloth) when i wake in the morning i can barely see it, it only feels a little itchy if i lay in bed all day or sit for a long period of time (i have a desk job) i think it is yeast or bacteria (im moist 24/7). All this started once i had yeast infections back to back and i got a blood test, because it wasn't anything to swab.

another thing i have to point out is that, the picture is deceiving. those are not open sores, it is flat red spots..... no pain, and that area only becomes slightly itchy after me sweeting down there.

okay, that makes sense. but if there is no cold sores and those bumps arent due to hsv 1? then how did you test positive for it? btw im not sure if i have anything but what i did have looks very very similar to what you have so im curious so i can get a idea of whats wrong with me. this whole hsv 1 & 2 thing is really confusing.
