what could this mean a psa level of 16

Husband has psa level of 16, he had mri yday and a biopsy today they took 8 snippets. Is this cancer?

    Hi Annette ,I agree with the first post.  Don't jump the gun until you have all the results.  Supercargo is right wait until you have all the results and you have spoken with your hubby's Oncologist.

      I agree. Psa rises for benign prostate problems too. Yes wait although that is nerve wracking. Eight cores seems modest. I had ten and was not to happy in prospect. However it did the business as the cores were all guided to the interesting spots.
