What could this wart be exactly?

It looks more like an infected pustule especially as you say it has got bigger and red. Keep it clean and use a small soft brush to gently lather and massage all round it. It may discharge on its own but dont try squeezing it. When its discharged continue to keep it clean. If it continues to grow and get redder, see your doctor for help.
