What did you choose for hip replacement materials? (for females?)

Hi everyone,

I am curious what you chose for your replacement materials?

I don't want metal on metal because of the poisoning. Just curious what people have gotten and how long were they told that option lasts for?

    I got ceramic on ceramic as I’m small and quite active. Built to last hopefully. I’m

    6 weeks in and feeling pretty good!

    I had ceramic on ceramic, uncemented. That was a couple of years ago when I was 57. My surgeon said the hip should outlive me. Here’s hoping! It’s all been good so far.
