Dale,
Any oil is okay, vaseline is ideal as is coconut oil, bio oil, olive oil. moisturisers would also work.

I used the cream with the big letter and 2 numbers, getting round the mods. I used this on both and found it easier to massage in than vaseline, once it was no longer pink, I used a scar oil, it can be quite perfumed, so don't use it yet.. Not really convinced that a scar oil does much more than the actual method of massaging with any carrier oil, coconut, rosehip etc so just chose what suits you.

use Silicone Strips

Silicone strips are good but they don't help with the massage action that you need to use in the first months, after a few months they are supposed to reduce the scarring tissue, but I suppose how we feel about the scar is all that matters, two years yesterday since my right hip and you would have to be too close for comfort to see it

Bio oil is great. I use it at night and the cream with one letter and two numbers in the morning (when I don't want oil on my clothes).
