Anyone else feel severely depressed when increasing to 100mg?
I have only been on 100mg a few days and ended up at a crisis centre last night because I felt so unwell.
I just need to know wether to stick with it or not x

Hello...im just curious as to how long have you been on sertraline in total? i have a prescription as well...ive been struggling so badly so the point of agoraphobia!! I live way out in the country 30 mins from any town and i tend to have social anxiety so i cant bring myself yo go to town! Every time i try to go i become so anxious i make myself sick! So i have zoloft im suppose to take, im so afraid it will make things worse. I tried it a few years ago but stopped cause it made me so sick i lost 15 lbs that i cant regain, caused bad headaches and twitches, but it helped the anxiety. i just dont know what else to do 😦

hey brandy it will be 8 weeks altogether. every increase means starting from scratch with side effects.
everything you said about trying it before is completely normal and as horrible as it is it does pass after a couple of weeks.
it will be tough at first but once you power through it will be so worth it in the long run x
2-4 weeks for the side effects to pass x sometimes sooner sometimes later x
dont panic if your anxiety/depression gets worse for a bit x that is normal x

Lynn sertraline is renowned for giving people stomach issues, it because there is serotonin in your stomach as well as your brain so it affects both, if it gets too bad the pharmacist can give you something to help

Lynn ...sertaline made me very sick to my stomach even to the point of vomiting, i only lasted 2 months of it and i couldnt take it anymore i had to stop the medication...but everyone is different! Some people just have an upset stomach for a few days and some a few weeks...i was only on 12.5mg! That has happened to me all three times i tried to take the garbage

it will make you anxious because you are experiencing something out of the norm, it will settle once you have got used to the dose plus I think if I remember correctly you are coming off some other medication?

why did you take it 3 times if you do not think it is any good? I understand that it did not work for you and I hope you have or will find something that does but negative posts do not help those who are still trying to find their way through, they need to be given hope that it may work for them not told that the medication they are on is garbage, as you so rightly said everyone is different and sertraline does and has helped a lot of people to recover, myself included

That is why i said everyone is different! I was trying to let her know that it may work or it may not work and if it doesnt work than it is garbage to her like it was for me. i tried it 3 times cause i kept having people tell me "oh suffer through you will feel better in the end" so i did suffer...alot and it didnt help it made things worse for me. that is what this forum is for to be honest with experiences on medications so please stop attacking me cause my experience wasnt a positive one like yours was! had i not stuck with it and listened to people trying it multiple times maybe i wouldnt have gotten as sick as i had on it!

i am on 12.5 weaning off 100 luvox which didnt help much. 2nd day on and have headache, and stomach cramps which come and go. worked for me once and hope it does again

thanks SUE just 2nd day on, headache and stomach issues . i see they are 2 common side effects. just took an advil had a root canal today

two months each time is not long enough .it took me 8months.and after the first time not working you should of try a different .i try five different ones the fifth one work and they are not garbage .these meds have save millions of lives .it certainly save mine.so thread carefully with your words .people on here dont want to hear negative experiences .they are already scare with anxiety as it is.just saying best regards
