What do you take that works for anxiety?

Posted , 12 users are following.

I take a number of different homepathics: Argentum Nitricum, Ignatia Amara, Kali Phos... plus I have some liquid KavaKava extract...

Anxiety extra bad this week...sometimes almost tempted to ask for 'regular Rx meds' but do NOT want to do that... I have taken them and quit them all after a few weeks. Last couple of days I've found that Valerian seems to work pretty well... I take the vitamin, etc, different supplement, too...

I see a great therapist once a wk and that IS helping me a lot... Thank you for any responses you might have in what you take that works well for you. I appreciate it.

The multivitamin needs to be in liquid or powder form for better absorption. I use magnessium glycinate myself by pure encapsulates.

I use magnesium and vitamin c in transdermal spray form. That's especially good if you have digestive problems because they get absorbed very well by through the skin.

Passion Flower is a lovely, light herb that's good for anxiety.

Here are some herbs that will help with your anxiety levels: Passion Flower is especially good, Chamomile's relaxing and it also helps to produce endorphins (happy hormones), and St John's Wort's excellent for the moods.

You might also want to consider a SAD light therapy box; it has some quite amazing effects on my well-being.

I didn't realise I'd already mentioned Passion Flower 7 months ago! Thought this was a new post. Did you try it? How are you doing now regarding anxiety?

    Hi Betty,

There is evidence that Lemon Balm may also be good for anxiety/stress.
