Visually your pictures do not look TYPICAL of a herpes outbreak. Actually I do not see any abnormality. Any red areas are probably irritated due to hair or hair removal.

Most people have been exposed to herpes in there life. If your blood tests were taking close to a sexual encounter this could be the reason why your levels were high.

Given that now after some repeats are negative I wouldn’t be concerned that you have HSV.

HSV 1 and HSV 2 affect both oral and genital areas. It also occur on fingers and noses etc.

If going just form US statistics over 80% of people have genital herpes either by 1 or 2 and never have an outbreak.

This happens with oral outbreaks aswell. The body builds up antibodies and it lays dormant.

I don’t feel like you need to worry in from you results and your pictures.

youre so kind! also i think that maybe i had antibodies but they werent like so high that the last 2 exams i did were negative.. so dont know the exact reason why the first were positive .. i know that igg stays for life and mine were negative later.

maybe just a reaction witha nither thing.

yep i have had this weird thing for months now and no dr tell me a concrete reason , but i dont think is irritation because it just happens on the left labia and always on the same place it never goes to the right side. it just stays on the left labia om the same place that is my concern

I have HSV2. It was diagnosed by a swab, were I’m from they don’t offered blood tests if requested even unless you want to pay privately. My first outbreak was bumps not like fluid filled but like raw bumps. They broke down into ulcers. But my outbreaks now are like a area of skin peel.

But also my outbreaks never scabbed.

      Literally everyone is different.

My friend has HSV1 genitally and her outbreaks are much worse then mine.

If your regularly shaving it could irritation. Would you suffer from ingrowns?

Does it happen when you shave? Or has it happened when you’ve done other forms of hair removal!

I honestly don’t really see much going on in any of your pics.

I understand how worrying something that looks different can be though.

what do you mean by area of skin peel?!

i am trying not to shave but when i shave i feel it more sensitive i think .. but i think that part usually is always pink or red.. it used to be brilliant

that is why is confusing becaude as u say many people have different ways of presenting it and im afraid it can be that..

also inhave gotten tingling and pain on the legs and the part that gets red feels different from the other labia

i dont know if an irritation on the same place can last that long i have used corticoids cream and stuff that my dermatologist prescribed

maybe mine can be that? like an area of skin peel that is why is pink and when i touch it rub it feels different from the other labia, like if the skin wasnt smooth at all. i dont feel pain but sensation

Like I get a little bump and then it’s like the bump does and it’s just like a tiny patch of raw skin.

Actually now if I get a ingrown it’s worse then a outbreak 🤦🏻‍♀️.

I think that after having so many negative screens you can be confident that it’s not herpes.

If you are linked with a dermatologist you could ask them to biopsy the skin to see but thats very traumatic to the skin.

and u always get the skin normal? or it looks slightly different or red after ur outbreak heals?

also, have u felt that part HARD? like u touch it and is hard i dont know.. i kinda get that feeling sometimes like if i had something there on the inside of the vulvar labia

yep. but biopsy seems to cut a piece of skin .. that might huirt a lot and imagine that on the vulva omg. heavy.

yep but whyy the first positives then?! 😦 what could be tbat

if u have tested and its been negative i dont think its herpes but like i said before get tested again because its the only way to know for sure

they can also swab the skin and send that off to the lab rather than taking a biopsy they did that with my ex partner when he was diagnosed

yes i just got tested and the last one was negative but anyways. i got 2 positives months before so its confusing..

but how are they going to swab if i dont have any fluid there?

    • Posted

also they told me as my igms in every test were negative meant that it wssnt active ..

do u have apic of how it looked? many drs have saw mine but they havent offered a swab test or something, meither the blood.. i did it myself. i think swabbing is just with liquid because then if there is no there will not be any fluid on the swab

it looked like a patch of spots i think if the doctor thought it was herpes u had would have ordered a blood test to be done i wouldnt b to concerned about it if the test was negative then it more than likly is something benign
